Why Import Egyptian Grapes?

Answers to common questions from international buyers regarding our early-season table grapes.

Why are Egyptian grapes preferred in Europe?

Egypt offers a strategic 'Early Window' for table grapes, entering the market in May just as the Southern Hemisphere season ends and before European production peaks. Our Superior and Flame Seedless varieties are famous for their high Brix levels (16°+) and crunchy texture due to the ideal desert climate.

What quality standards do your grapes meet?

Our vineyards are GlobalG.A.P and GRASP certified. We follow strict Tesco and EU retailer standards, utilizing pre-cooling facilities immediately after harvest to remove field heat. We use SO2 pads in packaging to prevent botrytis and ensure fresh arrival.

What are your minimum order quantities?

We accommodate orders from 1-ton air freight shipments (for early high-value crops) to full 40ft reefer containers (approx. 18-21 tons / 3,600 cartons). We can mix white and red varieties in the same container to optimize your stock.

Egyptian Grape Export FAQ

Technical details for international fruit importers.

What are the major grape varieties in Egypt?

The export market begins with Early Sweet and Superior (White) alongside Flame (Red) for the early season. These are followed by key mid-to-late season varieties, most notably Crimson (Late Red), Autumn Royal (Black), and the seeded Red Globe.

What packaging options do you offer?

Our standard export pack is the 4.5kg or 5kg carton. Inside, we can pack loose bunches in carry bags (Paper/Plastic) or in 10x500g punnets (Heat seal or Clamshell) for direct retail sale.

How many pallets fit in a container?

A 40ft High Cube reefer typically holds 20 pallets. Each pallet carries approx. 170-180 cartons (5kg), totaling about 3,600 cartons per container.

Do you export Red Globe?
Yes, we export Red Globe (Seeded) for specific markets that prefer large berry sizes, usually available from August to September.
